Starting from the notion of living, the sememic core of the word ethnoscenology, the article considers the conditions of its necessary examination in the study of the aesthetics of symbiotic performances. These constitute the emergent manifestations of the incarnations of the imaginary in the various societies. The new multidisciplinary perspectives in the field of the anthropology of aesthetics (Laplantine, 2021), of deep ecology (Arne Naess, Felix Guattari), of biology and of live performance suggest that these practices participate in the economy of the biosphere of which humans are a symbiont. The identification of the universal bio-cognitive foundations of the diversity of organized human spectacular forms reinforces the fundamental role of learning, which has been highlighted in particular in relation to the "techniques of the body" (M. Mauss 1934), the acquisition of language in a given ecosystem (Lenneberg, 1967; Chomsky, 1975) and social determinations. The multidisciplinary exploration of the question of the living (bios, E. Barba 1979) can contribute to the establishment of a coherent training program for students and researchers in ethnoscenology.

The ethnoscenological approach to Chinese performing arts allows us to highlight the biases implied by the French terminology applied to practices for which there is no equivalent in France. The study of Chinese acrobatic arts (wushu, Jingju, zaji) allows us to grasp the epistemological and methodological difficulties posed by extra-European, "from elsewhere", and "exotic" practices, which evoke fascination, fantasy and projection. How to approach, understand and designate Chinese acrobatic arts? By positioning itself in the field of anthropological sciences, the main concern of ethnoscenology is undoubtedly the fight against ethnocentrism (nominal and cultural). In order to avoid this trap, the researcher must have linguistic, cultural and performing skills. Direct observation and practice of performing arts are indispensable methodological foundations for the ethnoscenologist.

Being a phd sociologist, ethnoscenologist, I have been asked to epistemologically explain the relationship between sociology and ethnoscenology. This is not obvious, since while ethnoscenology declares itself to be interdisciplinary from the start, sociology has been asserting itself as a discipline for more than a century. I started from the respective paths of two men who actively participated in the first symposium of ethnoscenology in 1995: Jean Duvignaud, and Armindo Bião. Both graduates of a phd in sociology, after having followed others training courses before, they had already included their epistemology as teacher-researchers in a range of tools and approaches much broader than sociology, as practitioners and estheticians of the arts in particular, and if their profile was atypical within the community of sociologist, many affinities brought them together, and allowed a family of spirits with Jean-Marie Pradier, psychologist co-founder of ethnoscenology. I humbly subscribe to their lineage. It is therefore through a brief genealogy that I am attempting here to account for their contributions, trying to highlight the ways of thinking of which they were pionners, and which nourished the foundations of ethnoscenology.

The article explores the hypothesis of a direct relationship between phallocentric radicalism and sexual violence against women (Robin Morgan). Without underestimating the multi-factor analysis of the aggressive phenomenon, the focus is on the erotic deficit at the origin of acts of violence in ideological conflicts. Eroticism is considered here as an esthesiological and cognitive fulfillment of the sexual, biological dynamics (Merleau-Ponty). The sexual instinctual investment in art and its return effect in the development of the Ego facilitate the opening to otherness. A review of the literature on the psychology of radicalization and terrorism highlights the problems encountered in investigating, particularly with regard to the sexuality of the subjects. If it turns out that deradicalization is the result of particular techniques, it is important to consider the field of prevention beforehand, in particular through artistic mediation works.
