      <link>https://revues.mshparisnord.fr/ethnographie/index.php?id=601</link>
This article is the first step in a study on the interference of perceptual biases and vogue words in judging performing arts. The importance of the national context in the evaluation of sectarianization becomes clear when we consider the evolution of the term sect in French, especially from the second half of the 19th century. Diachronic analysis of the lexical field shows the return effect of the adjectivization in a negative sense on the notion itself. The case study examines the attribution process of the word sectarian to the Odin Teatret founded by Eugenio Barba in Oslo in 1964. It highlights the influence of religious heritage in the discourse. Eugenio Barba's constant concern to avoid the sanctuarisation of his writings and practices seems to respond to this criticism of the Odin that was once formulated and maintained by some commentators. </description>
