In this article, I discuss the concept of belief as it has been mobilized by the French public authorities since the early 2000s, in the face of the globalization of ritual practices of shamanic inspiration mobilizing the use of hallucinogens. Based on ethnographic survey conducted in the Peruvian Amazon and in Europe and an anthropological approach to the believing subject, I explore here the nature of the belief generated by the hallucinogenic experience. Far from the model of the "mind control" mobilised by the French public authorities, the latter appears to be highly dynamic. Supported by the properties of the hallucinogenic experience, belief also appears to be woven with doubt and reflexive ambivalence, ultimately depending on the social interactions in which the believing subject is involved as well as the benefits he hopes to derive from the practices he engages in.

In this article, I intend to establish a link between communities of martial art practices and theatrical communities. In martial arts, the body is requested to believe: the body-mind unity concept, the capacity to forge a link between the self and the universe through practicing, and elements of the Asian ways of thinking. This fact generates within the group a common orthopraxy that is necessary both for an individual evolution and the community functioning. In theatrical communities, shared body practices are the basis for the will to change the actor/tress. When the stage director chooses one martial art practice, it generates within the theatrical community specific features. To define them I will compare three examples: the U-Theatre in Taiwan, Anatoly Vasiliev's way, and Armand Gatti's theatre. The article concludes by demonstrating that these practices produce common sharing and thus create a commonness based on a collective believing body.

Sport-health has become an object of medical belief, a belief by effects, since the proof of the therapeutic effectiveness of physical activity was provided by physiological measurement but also by the psycho-social benefits on feeling of well-being and self-esteem. A biopolitical shift has occurred through the shift from recommended physical activity to the prescription sport prescription. The healthy body has become the new religion in the face of the Covid-19 contagion.
