      <link>https://revues.mshparisnord.fr/ethnographie/index.php?id=1419</link>
Within the framework of a field trip in French Polynesia for my film Le chant du lagon, I filmed my friend and bioacoustician Frédéric Bertucci and free-diving fishermen, in order to show how science and traditional knowledge consider the same object: sounds in the aquatic environment. There is no indigenous alternative to Western science, however I was able to experiment the camera-tool, as a possibility of discovery and appropriation of stories. Through a diegetic process, the image invites the viewer to immerse themselves in the vision of neighbouring worlds. The story of fishing is a representation of a perception of the world and the sound of the fish translates a living part of the immediate environment of the fisherman and the scientist. </description>
